Welcome to Menchey Music Service Timonium, MD! We are in the Broad Street Market off Padonia Rd. between I-83 & York Rd. Look for Brick Bodies and Mother’s North Grille to help find us. We are happy to be the only privately owned music store in Timonium, MD.

You or your child may have decided to start a musical journey. Or maybe you are returning after a break from music. Either way, our team of experienced musicians is ready to assist you with your musical needs during this adventure!

At Menchey Music you can find the right instrument for you with convenient rental plan for band and orchestra instruments. You can browse through our wide selection of music accessories and books. We also offer an assortment of musical services. These include instrument repair, guitar restrings, private lessons, and piano tuning.

This location is also the home of our Baltimore Area Yamaha Piano Gallery.  You will find a large selection of new Yamaha upright and grand pianos, as well as Yamaha Clavinova digital pianos. We are also proud to offer the award-winning Disklavier player piano. Recently we have added Casio Celviano and Hybrid digital pianos.  In addition, we have a constantly changing variety of used and clearance pianos available.

Private Lessons

Menchey Music Timonium has 7 private lesson studios and over 150 weekly students.  Our lessons studios offer a comfortable waiting room with free wifi for your convenience.  At this time we are offering both online and in-person lessons.  Lessons are available for the following instruments.  To see our current teacher list, click on the instrument of your choice.

Meet Our Staff

Erin Connelly, Store Manager

Erin Connelly is a Baltimore-based trumpet player, improviser, and teacher.  Erin began teaching private trumpet lessons through Menchey Music in 2018.  Additionally, she started as the Lesson Coordinator at the Timonium store in 2019.  Erin continues to teach at the Timonium location, as well as managing the Timonium store starting in 2022. In Erin’s spare time, she posts promotional material for a music venue in Baltimore City called An Die Musik LIVE. When Erin is not at Menchey Music, she enjoys running, playing with her cats, cooking healthy delicious meals, kayaking on the shores of Rhode Island, and learning new ways to express herself with the trumpet.

Charles Alston, Piano Gallery Manager

Charles is a piano/keyboardist that has accompanied various national and local artist across genres. He has worked as a church musician, organist, and choir director. He has a vast knowledge of the new leading technologies in Music. When he isn’t crafting a new tune, you can catch him enjoying family time with his wife and children.

Neal Gross, School Service Representative Baltimore County

Neal is a freelance trumpet player and currently is the leader of The Jazzberries Band. In Neal’s spare time, he can be found working at his metal refinishing & polishing business, supporting his wife and daughter’s musical activities, and searching for more antique lanterns to add to his collection. You may even catch him cruising around in his classic Corvette.

Lew Keyser, School Service Representative Baltimore County and Baltimore City

Lew is an avid percussionist, private teacher, and sound technician. He is the founder and drummer for the variety band “JUST US.” He also currently plays percussion for the Alesia Community Band, Littlestown Area Municipal Band, and The Lyric Band of Hanover.
